Importing 2D Data - Intergraph Smart P&ID - Help

1. On the Home tab, click Import 2D-P&ID Data .

   The Select Smart P&ID Data to Import dialog box is displayed.

2. Select a plant, area, unit, or drawing from the PlantGroup Hierarchy.

   OR

   Select multiple plants under PlantGroups section.

3. Click OK.

   The Import 2D-P&ID Data dialog box is displayed.

4. In the Map File box, browse to the appropriate map file for importing the Smart P&ID data.

5. Select the attributes that are common to all pipe runs under a pipeline. ItemTag is the default attribute. You can select multiple common attributes from the available list.

6. Click OK.

• If you have specified the map file path and the pipeline attribute details in the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file, you do not need to define them in the Import 2D Data dialog box.

• If you have specified the P&ID drawing paths in the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file, you do not need to select them in the Select Smart P&ID data to Import dialog box.
