Attribute Value mapping for attributes can be added at any level in the mapper file. See Mapping Attribute Values.

Use any one of the following ways to add Attribute Value Mapping.

Approach 1

  1. Right-click the element to add Attribute Value Mapping and select Add > Value Mapping > Attribute Value Mapping.

    The Select Attribute For Value Mapping dialog box is displayed.

  2. All the attributes of the element that are added in the mapper file are displayed in the Select Attribute for Value Mapping list. Select an attribute from the list and click OK.

    The Add Attribute-Value-Mapping dialog box is displayed.

  3. If the attribute already has mapping values, then they are displayed in the Add Attribute-Value-Mapping dialog box. You can modify the existing value mapping or add new value mapping options. Specify the pattern in the Specify the pattern matchings if any table, and then specify other mapping options in Specify the general matchings table.

  4. Click OK.

    The current Attribute Value mapping is added to the tree view.

Approach 2

  1. Right-click the attribute to add value mapping, and then select Add > Value Mapping > Attribute Value Mapping.

    The Add Attribute-Value-Mapping dialog box is displayed.

  2. Specify the pattern in the Specify the pattern matchings if any table, and then specify other mapping options in the Specify the general matchings table.

  3. Click OK.

Approach 3

  1. Right-click the attribute that already has value mapping, and then select Add > Value Mapping > Attribute Value Mapping.

    The Add Attribute-Value-Mapping dialog box is displayed.

  2. The added value mappings for the attribute are displayed in the dialog box. You can add new mapping options or modify the existing mapping options. Specify the pattern matchings in Specify the pattern matchings if any table, and specify other mapping options in the Specify the general matchings table.

  3. Click OK.
