Add content within reusable blocks to keep content together.
Before you begin
-
The document must be open and in edit mode.
-
The block must already be created.
About this task
To add content inside a block, you must first edit the block and add your content inside the shaded area.
Procedure
The block must be in edit mode and all content is added within the shaded area. Any content outside of the shaded area will not appear within the block.
-
Navigate to the block where you want to add content, and click the gear icon > Edit.
The system displays the block inside a shaded area.
The term 'content' generically refers to anything being added within the block. For example, a statement (procedural, branch, information, etc.), section, or another block.
-
Click +Item to continue to add the required sections, statements, and blocks.
Sub content and sub templates cannot be added within a block.
All statements added after the Section title are nested under the newly created section heading. You Click Preview and Save.
This ensures the newly added statements are fully added to the document.
Results
The content is added to the block and the block can be reused in other documents or document templates.
