Statements are used to build content into a document. AcceleratorKMS has the following built-in base statement types:
-
Procedural: used to create procedural steps
-
Branch: used to create decision points
-
Block: used to group content that can be reused, for example, for multiple steps that need to be repeated
-
Information: used to create additional content such as Notes, Cautions, and Warnings
-
Scan code: used to create content that requires a code to be scanned, for example, for equipment verification purposes
-
Data collection: used to create content that requires data to be recorded, such as, current temperature, date/time, single and multi-select lists, or pressure
-
Dynamic Table: used for content that has to be presented in a tabular view for completion
Grouped statements can form a section, block, or procedural task, and statements under another statement can form sub-levels. For example, you can place a procedural type statement under another procedural type statement to create a sub-step. Statements that have sub-statements have visual cues that differentiate them from single statements.
Any statement type can be placed under another statement as a subordinate. When the originating statement is numbered, sub-statements are leveled to the numbering of the originating statement. When the originating statement is not numbered, the sub-statement numbering continues from the numbered statement that precedes the originating statement.
There is no actual dependency between the originating statement and its associated sub-statements, that is, each statement is an individual and reusable statement. The originating statement with its associated sub-statements as a whole is not reusable.
Removing or moving the originating statement also removes or moves the associated sub-statements. For details on moving statements, see Organizing content using drag and drop.
