Quickly and easily organize or reorganize your content using drag and drop.
Before you begin
The document must be open and in edit mode.
About this task
Organize the content within a document any way you need using the drag and drop function in AcceleratorKMS. With drag and drop, you can
-
move sections and statements to a new location within the document
-
sort and manage content hierarchy within the Contents map
-
nest sections within sections or sections within blocks
-
nest statements within statements
-
Having too many nested levels can be a cumbersome experience for the end users and, in extreme cases, impact functionality. The best practice of limiting nesting to three or four levels, should be taken into consideration from both an author and reviewer's perspective.
-
To organize or reorganize content within a block, the block must be in edit mode.
Procedure
-
Hover to the left of the section or statement to be moved until you see the cross arrows icon.
-
Drag the section or statement up or down until the section or statement is in the correct position and drop.
Dragging upward favors a drop position that is at the same level as the next section or statement, whereas dragging downward favors a drop position that makes the section or statement a subordinate of the previous section or statement.
While dragging the section or statement, observe the yellow insert box. This gives you an indication of the level at which the section or statement is going to be inserted. The larger the indent, the deeper the level.
