Inventory is a tool for managing material in prefabrication business. The software controls:
Material in storage
Raw materials in prefabrication shop which are not released to production. The material may be in storage or incoming material.
Material in production
Material which has been released to production from material storage and it is in production process but it is not yet used. The production work phases are using material to create end products.
End product storage
Contains prefabrication products which are produced and completed in the production process.
Inventory does not only show status of storage but it also controls material reservations for the production orders. Thus, it is controlling future availability of material through material reservations. The material reservation can be connected to storage materials or the user can make purchase needs to guide the purchase of material into storage.
