Installing prerequisite software - Intergraph Smart Engineering Manager - 3.0 - Installation & Upgrade - Hexagon

Before installing and configuring the Smart Engineering Manager Web Application on your computer, you need to install the following prerequisite software:

• Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 2. Perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the server as a local administrator.

  2. Go to: Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 2.

  3. Follow instructions on the screen to download and install Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 2.0 for IIS (x64).

• Microsoft IIS CORS Module, downloadable from https://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/iis-cors-module.

• Microsoft .NET Framework from Microsoft's website. For additional details regarding version support, see Hardware and Software Recommendations > Web Application Server.

• Microsoft IIS with the required roles and features enabled. For more details, see Configure Internet Information Server on Windows Server.

• A properly configured SSL certificate. For details, see Install an SSL certificate.

• To run the Client Backend service, you must download and install the following .NET Core components (.NET Core 3.1 or later, downloadable from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core/3.1):

  • SDK, which includes the following components:

    • .NET Runtime x64

    • ASP.NET Core Runtime x64

    • .NET Desktop Runtime x64

  • ASP.NET Core Runtime Hosting Bundle x86
