Smart 3D Version
13

The following changes have been made to the Electrical task.

Hot Fix and Service Pack Updates

  • You can now detect discontinuities in a cable run using the Custom Command RouteDevCustomCmd,Ingr.SP3D.Route.Client.CustomCommand.ReportDiscontinousRun. (P2 CP:374181)

  • You can now directly delete selected route parts. (P2 CP: 368036)

  • The new Update Cable Fill command updates the cable fill value for all the selected raceways (cable trays or conduits) or specific raceways through which the selected cables are routed. (P3 CP:379284)

  • Added information about VUE extraction restrictions. See Set up a 3D Model Data component. (P3 CP:388602)

Version 13

  • You can now extend a conduit or group of conduits from a duct bank. See Move a conduit end feature from a duct bank. (P2 CP: 345210)

  • You can now defer cable length and tray fill calculations while performing cableway network modifications. See Edit Cableway Straight Feature Ribbon and Edit Cable Path Ribbon. (P2 CP:370519)

  • The software now supports placing reportable covers for the cable trays. See Cable Trays and Define cable tray covers. (P3 CP:157795)

  • When editing duct bank and cable tray properties, the reference point in the lower left corner of the preview on the property dialog is indicated by a blue handle in the model view so you can understand the orientation. See Duct Bank Tab (New Cableway Dialog) and Barriers Tab (New Cableway Dialog).

Duct Bank Orientation HandleCabletray Reference Point

  • Previously, when you edited the width or depth of a duct bank, the resize was around the center point of the cross section and happened in all four directions. Now the resize happens along the positive X- and Y-axis of the cross section only. In the example below, the width of the duct bank was increased. Note that the duct bank reference point (blue handle) does not move. See Duct Bank Tab (New Cableway Dialog).

    Duct Bank Width Increased

  • You can now add conduit rows and columns to existing duct banks. Before, you could only add a single conduit at a time. See Duct Bank Tab (New Cableway Dialog).

  • When branching conduit out of a duct bank, you need only select the conduit end features. Previously, you had to select the duct bank cableway end and the conduit end features. See Branch duct banks.

  • The software now automatically connects collinear conduits when two individual duct banks are connected or when conduit is added at the same position to both duct banks.

  • You can now choose whether or not the duct bank controls the conduit using the Behavior Controlled by User option on the General Tab (Conduit Run Properties Dialog).
