Select Queue > Create to create a new batch or pipe queue. Batch Manager displays a dialog that allows you to configure various aspects of the queue.
The Create Queue dialog displays a Queue Type box that displays the type of the queue, either Batch or Pipe. The two are mutually exclusive. If a batch queue is being created, the Destinations tab is unavailable for selection. If a pipe queue is being created, the Shells tab is unavailable for selection.
