Set up the SDx Connector for TruView - HxGN SDx - 10 - Installation & Upgrade - Hexagon

To set up SDx Connector for TruView, you must load the respective model files delivered with the software.

You must have HxGN SDx administrator privileges to perform this operation.

1. Log on to the Desktop Client.

2. Click File > Loader, and load the model files for the required products from the following location: [installation location]\SDX\Truview Connector\Models

   • For HxGN SDx:

     Load the following model files from the location: [installation location]\SDX \TruView Connector\Models\SDx

     • Admin_MethodSDA.xml

     • Schema_SDA.xml

     • Security_RoleAccessGroupSDA.xml

   • For Data Capture:

     Load the following model files from the location: [installation location]\SDX\TruView Connector\Models\Data Capture

     • Admin_MethodSPFN.xml

     • Schema_SPFN.xml

     • Security_RoleAccessGroupSPFN.xml

   • For SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators/Enterprise (SPO/E Core):

     Load the following model files from the location: [installation location]\SDX\TruView Connector\Models\SPO

     • Admin_APIEntryPointAccessSPO.xml

     • Admin_MethodSPO.xml

     • Schema_SPO.xml

     • Security_RoleAccessGroupSPO.xml

   • For SmartPlant Foundation (Authoring Environment)

     Load the following model files from the location: [installation location]\SDX\TruView Connector\Models\SPE

     • Admin_MethodSPE.xml

     • Schema_SPE.xml

     • Security_RoleAccessGroupSPE.xml

     • Admin_APIEntryPointAccessSPE.xml

3. Click Process, and wait until the loading is completed.

4. Once the files are successfully loaded, you can view the Laser scans feature set in the Web Client.

After configuring SDx Connector for TruView for any of the above product, you can view that the product roles are pre-assigned to any of the following access groups:

• LaserScan Editor (LScan Editor)

• LaserScan Viewer (LScan Viewer)
