Allows you to define default property values for item types that belong to a specific plant group within a plant.
Plant group
Displays the target plant group for which the naming convention applies. A plant group is a specific group available within a plant hierarchy, for example, Plant1, Area1, Unit1. Plant, area and unit are examples of plant group types. The available plant group types depend on the plant hierarchy you define in Engineering Manager. Selecting Browse beside the Plant group box opens the Select Plant Group dialog, where you can select the target group for defining naming convention.
Copy From
Opens the Copy Item Type Property Values dialog to select the required plant group as a source for copying property values. Allows you to copy values from selected item types or from all item types available in the source plant group.
-
You can copy property values only within the same item type. Therefore, if in the Plant-Wide Parameters window, you select a plant, you cannot use the Copy From option.
-
The software only copies property values if the source and target item types are assigned to the same plant group type, for example, to area. Therefore, source and target groups must belong to the same type. You assign item types to plant group types in the Item Types Window.
