Integration standardizes and improves the communication among the various authoring tools you use in the course of designing, constructing, and operating a plant. SmartSketch participates in an integrated environment by allowing you to publish SmartSketch drawings. After being published, other authoring tools can then retrieve the drawings, which enables sharing and re-use of model data throughout the plant lifecycle. You must install the Schema Component and the SmartPlant Client, delivered with SmartPlant Foundation, on your SmartSketch workstation before you can publish drawing data. The commands that provide access to SmartPlant functionality exist on the SmartPlant menu. The SmartPlant commands allow you to register the plant and specify which plant is active. Additionally, you use the Publish command to publish a SmartSketch drawing to the current active plant. Once a file is published, you can use the Refresh command to modify the title block issue information.
