This procedure allows you to create a schedule baseline which can later be used to compare the schedule in its current state to those baseline values. Any previous values for the selected baseline are replaced by current values when a baseline is taken. Baseline values appear as yellow bars in the gantt chart.

  1. Navigate to Projects > Project Schedule Baseline.

  2. At the top of the screen, in the green parameter bar, click the Project and Calendar ellipsis to select the required project and calendar.

The administrator defines a calendar, that includes the time-zone, start time, duration, working days, week offs, and holidays.

  3. At the top of the screen, in the green parameter bar, click the Baseline ellipsis to select the required baseline. By default, Current appears in the Baseline ellipsis.

The administrator is responsible for creating the baselines that appear in the Baseline ellipsis

  4. Click Refresh for screen update. In the Project Scheduler panel, the project object appears and the tasks along with their dependencies appear on the gantt chart.

  5. Click the Baseline button. The Scheduler Baseline dialog box appears.

  6. Select the required baseline and click OK button. The new baseline is applied to the tasks on the gantt chart.

  7. Update the Duration in the Project Schedule panel. The new changes made appear in the form of a base line under each task on the gantt chart.

The new changes appear only when the baseline is selected in the Baseline ellipsis on the top of the screen.
