The concept of production destination allows the use of test destinations and production destinations. The following diagram shows the functional workflow:

ProductionDestination

There is a test destination and a production destination. You load specifications and catalog data into the test destination. Then you find and fix the issues and reload the data into the test destination. After n iterations if the test destination result is satisfactory, the test destination is copied into the production destination. The production destination has exactly the same data as in the test environment. In copying the test destination to the production destination, only the delta between the test destination and production destination is considered.

If the Destination is selected, this destination is marked as the production destination. Updates or insertions into the production destination are done by the execution of the transfer job only.

If the Production Destination is selected, the destination data is compared with the production destination, and differences go into the bulk load operation when you run the job.

Changing the configuration settings (Data Table Configurations, Templates and so on) in the Transfer Jobs tab when transferring data from test destination to production destination can result in corrupt data, as the logical structures for the same data table in two different data table configurations may not match. We therefore recommend that you do not change these settings.
