Provides options for specifying the input piping files that the software processes and determines the number of resulting output files.

SHARED Tip Drag the border between the Piping Files and Model Generation windows to resize the view of each window.

Select Files

Opens the Select Piping Files dialog box so that you can select the input files to process. The software supports PCF, IDF, and POD file types.

Save a single file

Determines the number of output files that the software generates during processing. To save all the specified piping input files to a single model file, select the checkbox. Clear the checkbox to generate a separate model output file for each piping input file.

  • When you save the input files to a single model file, the software uses the name of the last selected piping file to name the output model file. For example, if you first selected SG-T1.idf and then selected SG-T2.idf, the software names the output file SG-T2.dwg or SG-T2.dgn, depending on the model format that you selected on the Options tab.

  • When you save the input files as individual model files, the software names each output file according to its input file name. For example, SG-T1.idf is named SG-T1.dwg or SG-T1.dgn.

Generate Model File(s)

Processes the selected input piping files and produces the specified output files.

If you selected Save a single file, the software first opens the Save As dialog box so that you can specify the output file name. If you cleared the Save a single file checkbox, the software opens the Browse for Folder dialog box so that you can specify the folder into which the output files are saved and then begins processing the piping files.
