In this section, we will learn how to create a short code for a component.

Click SRD > Spec > Short Code Management.

Select All Short Codes/Short Code Types/ Short Codes from the list at the top of the tree view.

Double-click the All Short Codes node to open the Short Codes grid or click Open Grid View.

To manage the short codes in the Short Codes grid, click Edit grid
.

To add a new short code to the Short Codes grid, click Add Row
.

Select the following values:

Short Code: 45ELB
-
Short Description: 45 Elbolet,
-
Description: 45 Elbolet
-
Type: Olet Type Branches or select a type from the Selection list, and then click OK.

Click Save grid
, and then click Read-Only grid 
to set the grid back to read-only mode.
To delete a short code, right-click the selected short code row header, and then
click Delete or press the DELETE key.
