This section applies only to corner features.

Corner features are frequently placed at non-orthogonal corners. Sometimes, for these cases, you may want the corner cut to follow the angle of the corner.

You can control the cut angle in a corner feature symbol as follows:

  • If the corner feature geometry is on the AlongCorner layer, it is cut parallel to the corner angle.

  • If the corner feature geometry is on any other layer, it is cut normal to the face of the part.

Unlike slot symbols, which frequently have only some output geometry and dimensions on the CrossSectionPlane layer, corner features will usually have all output geometry and dimensions on one layer.

  1. Shift-click to select the connected edges and related dimensions.

  2. Click Change Layer on the Layer toolbar.

  3. On the dialog box, select the AlongCorner layer, and click OK.
