  1. Select a geometric element, such as a line, arc, or circle.

  2. Click Edit > Properties.

    • You can also right-click the selected element, and click Properties on the shortcut menu.

    • After selecting the geometric element, you can use the ribbon to edit such properties as line style, line color, line type, and line width.

  3. On the Element Properties dialog box, set the options you want.

  • You can also format an element before you draw it by using the Format > Line command, or by setting options on the ribbon.

  • Changing the current style settings on the ribbon or Properties dialog box overrides the line style formats.

  • You can change the definition of a line style with the Style dialog box.
