Smart 3D objects contain numerous properties that can be exported to Smart Review. Because Smart 3D maintains a relational database (Oracle, for example) and Smart Review implements an MS Access database, the Smart 3D properties and their hierarchy do not match or 'look' the same within the applications. To bridge this gap, mapping files are generated and then used to relate model data properties (also referred to as attributes) to labels for display in SmartPlant Review.
There are two methods that can be used to set up Smart 3D model data to be viewed in Smart Review. One method involves using the Save as Smart Review command in the Smart 3D Drawings and Reports task. This mapping method generates .vue and .xml files for Smart Review. The other method involves using SPRDirect, which enables you to generate .vue and .mdb2 files that can be opened in Smart Review.
