  1. From within the authoring tool, click SmartPlant > Find Documents to Publish.

    • This command is available only if you have registered the active plant using the SmartPlant Registration Wizard.

    • This feature is also available by clicking Find on the Publish Tab (Publish Dialog Box).

    • The Find Documents to Publish command determines which documents need to be published or re-published and displays the results of the search in the Find Documents to Publish dialog box.

  2. From the Select documents to publish list, check the boxes corresponding to the documents you want to publish, and then click OK.

  3. Publish the document or documents to SmartPlant Foundation. For more information, see Publish Documents.

    • The lists displayed on the Find Documents to Publish dialog box are automatically compiled by the tools based on last search performed, as indicated in the Last search performed box. You can click Update to perform a new search and update the list, but this process can be time-consuming, depending on whether you are running the application in synchronous or asynchronous mode.

    • A document that has been previously signed off can be re-published into SmartPlant Foundation. For more information, see Revisable and Locked Documents. You can revise this document and publish it again by using the SmartPlant menu options. For more information, see Revise a Document.

    • You can quickly sort documents in the Select document to Publish list in ascending or descending order by the Name, Type, or Last Published columns.

    • To be available for publishing in Smart 3D, documents must be up-to-date, and the required Discipline property must be defined. An error message appears if one or more of the documents found by the Find Documents to Publish command do not meet the criteria. For more information on setting the appropriate properties, see your Smart 3D documentation.
