The SmartPlant Client Utility allows SmartPlant authoring tools to perform register, connect, publish, and retrieve operations with SmartPlant Foundation using XML files from the tools. Unlike SmartPlant Test Tool, the SmartPlant Client Utility uses the tool Data XML File, Meta-data XML File, and Tombstones XML File as the source to publish and retrieve objects from SmartPlant Foundation.
The SmartPlant Client Utility acts as an interface to XML data from SmartPlant authoring tools and SmartPlant Foundation. It enables you to publish and retrieve real-time data objects from existing XML data from the tools.
SmartPlant Client Utility is a stand-alone tool that is delivered with SmartPlant Client software and is independent of using any tool adapter interfaces.
