Graphic Rule
This is an example of the graphic representation of an Equipment component in a drawing.
Label Rule
Every piece of equipment is labeled. The label is placed in the center of the equipment, unless there is an object already in the center or there is insufficient white space for the label. If the label cannot be placed on the center of the object, it is placed with a jogged leader. In the example below, the label from the above graphic is magnified to show the details of the equipment label.
Dimension Rule
Vertical and horizontal dimensions are placed on the equipment components. The equipment is also dimensioned to nearby columns in the volume.
