If you have the j5 Work Orders application installed, permits can be added to a work order.
The j5 Work Orders application displays the work orders from your CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) in j5. If you want to install the j5 Work Orders application, contact your regional Hexagon j5 office.
To add a permit to a work order:

Open the work order you want to add a permit to.

Select the Permits tab.

Click next to the permit type you want.

Complete the permit.

Click Save

When you are ready to request the permit, click Submit. The permit’s status changes to Requested.
After a permit has been added to the work order, the permit can be viewed and edited in the Permits module.
