Each integrated design tool will have a software component called the SmartPlant Adapter that will implement the IEFAdapter interface described in this document. Each tool will also implement the IEFToolDocs interface to support UI operations.
The SmartPlant Test Tool delivered with SmartPlant Client demonstrates many features of SmartPlant Common UI and of SmartPlant adapters. SmartPlant Test Tool's source code is delivered with SmartPlant Test Tool, so developers will have available working code that demonstrates how an authoring tool may communicate with SmartPlant Common UI.
