When working with CADWorx piping data, you can copy the required specification directories or work directly from the CADWorx Pipe folders. In either case, the specification settings are contained within a configuration file located in the System folder. The reading and interpretation of the specification and data files are defined in the file Pgrm.tbl.

If you have CADWorx installed, no action is necessary. If you do not have CADWorx installed, the steps listed below are required.

  1. Create the following folder structure on a computer with CADWorx installed:

  2. Copy the specification configuration files from the CADWorx System folder to the project System folder.

  3. Copy the Prgm.tbl file from the CADWorx System folder to the project System folder.

  4. Copy the CADWorx Spec folder to the CADWorx project folder.

  5. Copy the CADWorx Library folder to the CADWorx project folder (such as Lib_I, Lib_M, and so on).

The example below shows the resulting project hierarchy.

  • A top-level project folder is mandatory, but the name can be user-specified. In the previous illustration, the name of the project folder is CADWorx Project.

  • The Catalogues, Safe, and System folders are mandatory, fixed name folders. The Safe folder is used to store the Smart Isometrics project (.icp) file, and the Catalogues folder is used to store the Smart Isometrics specifications.
