The P6 Connector requires EcoSys Configuration elements. Based on your version of Standard Products, follow the instructions in the applicable sections below.

For EC2.04 or newer, this section can be skipped.

For EC2.02 or earlier, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the same location that the installation media was downloaded from.

  2. In the directory for the major release of EcoSys Connect, navigate to the Configuration subdirectory and download the zip file ‘EcoSys P6 Connector Configuration.zip.

  3. Unzip the file.

  4. In EcoSys, verify that spreadsheets are not published with the following API names. If they are , navigate to the associated spreadsheet and disable the API configured on the spreadsheet. The ecm file will import a newer version of this spreadsheet with additional columns needed for the P6 Connector.

  6. Go to Configure > Migration Management and import the ‘EcoSys P6 Connector Configuration (P6CONN).ecm’ from the zip file using the option ‘Import into EcoSys using Create New / Update existing’.

  7. Go to Configure > Migration Management and import the ‘EcoSys P6 Connector Configuration (P6CONN) EC2.03.ecm’ from the zip file using the option ‘Import into EcoSys using Create New / Update existing’.

The EcoSys configuration must be successfully imported and must exist on the EcoSys server before importing the EcoSys Connect jobs. The import of EcoSys Connect jobs will fail if the EcoSys APIs (Spreadsheets) are not available.

    • For older Standard Product releases, the following 4 Spreadsheets will be imported with the 3 fields (Estimate Project ID, Object - Project ID, Structure Type ID) that might not exist in the older releases and cause it to be unresolved. These fields can be removed from the below 4 spreadsheets and saved.

      • ITG P6 Project Import - Allow Creates

      • ITG P6 Project Import Audit

      • ITG P6 WBS Import

      • ITG P6 WBS Import Audit

    • For additional configuration changes, that could be made to Integrate the P6 Connector in to the Standard Products Configuration. For more information, see Additional Configuration Considerations for Standard Product.

For EC2.03, follow the step below:

  1. Go to Configure > Migration Management and import the ‘EcoSys P6 Connector Configuration (P6CONN) EC2.03.ecm’ from the zip file using the option ‘Import into EcoSys using Create New / Update existing’.
