This workflow demonstrates the ability to further modify a label by editing the associated .xml file.
-
Browse to the [Product Folder]\SharedContent\Drawings\Catalog\Labels\Templates folder.
-
In the Templates folder, copy and paste an existing .xml file. For example, copy and paste SectionSize_None_APO_NL.xml in the same folder.
-
Rename the copied file to match the files you created earlier in the Label Editor.
Before proceeding, consider downloading a third-party .xml document editor to make it easier to read and modify the .xml files.
-
Double-click the new .xml file to open it in Notepad or a third-party .xml document editor.
-
Rename any instances of SectionSize_None_APO_NL to your new label name. For example, rename SectionSize_None_APO_NL to MyNewLabel.
When renaming these instances, remember to keep file extensions if they are present in the original name.
-
Save the file and exit.
To use your new label in a drawing, you need to Create a New Label Rule.
