The input engineering properties control the functionality of the spring part over varying loading conditions. These properties are used by the software while calculating output engineering properties.

IJUAhsOperatingLoad::OperatingLoad

Specifies the operating load on the spring at the operating condition. This load is also commonly referred to as the hot load.

IJUAhsMovement::Movement

Specifies the amount of thermal displacement of the pipe when moving from the Installed (Cold) to Operating (Hot) conditions.

IJUAhsMovementDir::MovementDirection

Specifies the direction of the new movement when switching from the Installed to Operating conditions. This property uses the codelist number defined in the hsSpringMovementDir sheet in the HS_S3DParts_Codelist.xls. A value of 0 specifies the direction as Up, while a value of 1 specifies the direction as Down.

IJUAhsSpringRate::SpringRate

Specifies the amount of force required to deflect the spring by a given unit distance. Common units are .

IJUAhsMaxVariability::MaxVariability

Specifies the maximum allowable variability, where variability is defined as the percentage change in the supporting load between the Operating and Installed conditions.

IJUAhsMinWorkingLoad::MinWorkingLoad

Specifies the low end of the spring working load range.

IJUAhsMaxWorkingLoad::MaxWorkingLoad

Specifies the high end of the spring working load range.

IJUAhsMinOvertravelLoad::MinOvertravelLoad

Specifies the load at which the spring is completely extended, and is equal to the precompression of the spring in the casing.

IJUAhsMaxOvertravelLoad::MaxOvertravelLoad

Specifies the maximum spring load at the high end over travel, and is defined as the load at which the spring is completely compressed.

IJUAhsMinLimitStopTravel::MinLimitStopTravel

Specifies the location of a limit stop restricting the travel of the spring with respect to the minimum working range. A negative value is possible if the limit stop is placed within the range of the over travel. If the value is less than the travel value corresponding to the minimum over travel, then the limit stop is ignored.

IIJUAhsMaxLimitStopTravel::MaxLimitStopTravel

Specifies the location of a limit stop restricting the travel of the spring. If a value is not assigned to this property, there is no limit stop applied.
