Fabrication types are defined on the P.10.91 Fabrication Types screen.

To define a fabrication type, enter the type name in the Fabrication Type field and the type descriptions in the Short Desc and Description fields. Select a pre-defined where condition from the LOV in the Where Condition field. You can double-click in the field to open the A.60.06 Where Conditions screen to view the details of a where condition. For more information see Where Conditions.

The Where Conditions must be assigned to each fabrication type to automatically attach a fabrication type to a tagged item (BOM tag).

You can assign a routing method to the selected fabrication type by selecting a value from the LOV in the Routing Method field.

The Max Revisions field shows the number of historical loads that the selected fabrication type can hold. The minimum value for this field is 1. A successful load of the fabrication type deletes all older loads that have crossed this limit.

In the second (Fabrication Type Attributes) block, you assign attributes to the selected fabrication type.

Each time an attribute is added to or removed from a fabrication type, all configurations that exist for the fabrication type are adjusted accordingly. These configurations are used by the P.90.11 Maintain Fab Tracking screen. When the first attribute is assigned to a fabrication type, a standard configuration is created. The name of this configuration is composed of the name of the project (or product group) and the name of the fabrication type. This standard configuration consists of all fields available for the P.90.11 screen and this first attribute. Currently, up to 30 attributes are supported by the P.90.11 screen.

To assign an attribute, enter a unique sequence number in the Seq field. This sequence number controls the order of the attributes within the fabrication type. Next, select the attribute from the LOV in the Attribute field. All attributes defined on A.50.01 are available for selection. Finally, select the BOM attribute from the LOV in the Ref BOM Attribute field.
