The Forecasted Delivery Date field is needed for the creation of new item shipments to give the user the ability to enter a forecasted delivery date for new item shipments. A new item shipment is created using the Create Item Shipment button. The forecasted delivery date that you enter is used as the base for the automatic calculation of the other forecast dates. A new item shipment is automatically created if you enter an MCS quantity, IRC quantity, or release note quantity that is smaller than the item shipment quantity. In this case, you must enter a forecasted delivery date for the old item shipment to use it for the calculation of the forecast dates of the new item shipment.

By default, the forecasted delivery date is copied over from the item shipment that is copied and the current item shipment, respectively. But this value can be overwritten. To make you aware of this fact, the value of this field is displayed using a magenta color.

The field can also be used for updating the forecasted delivery date of an existing item shipment.

Item shipments to which a release note has been assigned or that are master tags (on the item shipment level) are not available for this functionality.

The date entered is copied over as the forecasted date of the destination for which the Delivery Date indicator has been selected on the P.10.53 Routing Methods screen. All subsequent item shipment dates are recalculated accordingly.

Manually entered forecasted delivery dates are marked by a cyan background color.

The Prom Contract field shows the date on which the supplier has promised to deliver the item.

If project default ZP_EXPDATE is set to N, you can update this date.

The PO Actual field shows the date on which the item has actually been delivered.

The Prom Inspect field shows the date on which the supplier has promised that the item can be inspected.

The Final Inspect field shows the date on which the item will be finally inspected for releasing the corresponding certificate.

The Ready Predicted field shows the date on which the item is predicted to be ready for shipment.

The Ready Actual field shows the date on which the item was actually ready to be shipped.

The Prom Ship field shows the first date the supplier promised to ship that item. If the project default ZP_EXPDATE is set to N, you can update this date.

The Curr/Rev Prom Ship field shows the current promised date of the supplier to ship that item. As long as this date is not changed by the expediter, it has the same value as the Prom Ship date.

Modifying this field leads to a recalculation of the predicted on site date if the project default ZP_EXPDATE is set to Y. See the description of the Pred On Site field for the details. When you set this date on a detail tag, the latest date of all detail tags is copied over to the master tag. For example, if the current promised ship dates of the detail tags are 22-MAR-2001, 04-JUN-2001, and 02-AUG-2001, 02-AUG-2001 is copied to the master tag. This copy operation can result in the re-assignment of the master tag to a different shipment group.

The Pred Ship field shows the date the item is predicted to be shipped. Modifying this field leads to a recalculation of the predicted on site date if the project default ZP_EXPDATE is set to Y. See the description of the Pred On Site field for the details.

The Actual Ship field shows the actual date the supplier shipped that item. Modifying this field leads to a recalculation of the predicted on site date if the project default ZP_EXPDATE is set to Y. See the description of the Pred On Site field for the details.

The Pred Traffic Arrival field shows the date for which the traffic arrival of the material is predicted.

This field can either be set manually or filled automatically if the project default ZP_POP_ETA is set to POP_MOC. If ZP_POP_ETA is set to POP_MOC, the ETA date of the means of conveyance on which the item shipment can be found is copied over into this field.

The Actual Traffic Arrival field shows the date on which the traffic arrival of the material actually took place. This field can either be set manually or filled automatically if the project default ZP_POP_ETA is set to POP_MOC. If the project default is set to POP_MOC, the ATA date of the means of conveyance on which the item shipment can be found is copied over into this field.

The Prom On Site field shows the date for which the item is promised to arrive on site.

Pred On Site

Date predicted (estimated) for the arrival on site.

If you are using extended expediting, this date is kept in synchronization with the forecasted date of the destination of the routing method that has been marked of type 'Arrival On Site.'

If the project default ZP_EXPDATE has been set to Y, this date is filled with the promised ship date plus the sum of transit days of the routing method when an item shipment is created. Furthermore, it is recalculated automatically if one of the following fields is modified:

  • Curr/Rev Prom Ship

  • Pred Ship

  • Actual Ship

  • Routing Method

  • Carrier Name

If a carrier name has been provided, the predicted on site date is calculated as the ATA date of the carrier (or ETA date, if the ATA date is not available) plus the sum of transit days of those entries within the schedule of the routing method located between the entries with date types 'Traffic Arrival' (which is included) and 'Arrival On Site' (which is excluded). If the ETA date of the carrier is empty, too, or if the routing method schedule does not contain an entry of date type 'Traffic Arrival,' the carrier is ignored, and the software looks for the actual ship date/predicted ship date/revised promised ship date/promised ship date (in this order, if the respective date looked for is empty) and adds the (total) sum of transit days of the routing method for calculating the predicted on site date. This latter variant also applies in cases where no carrier name has been provided.

If project default ZP_EXPDATE has been set to N, this date remains empty when an item shipment is created and is not automatically recalculated if one of the fields named above is modified.

The Actual On Site field shows the date the item actual arrived on site.

The Req On Site field shows the date the material is required on site. When item shipments are created, this date is copied over from the associated requisition line item (ROS Date field).

The Maj Matl Order field shows the date on which most components (or quantities) of the item have been ordered.

The Maj Matl Recv field shows the date on which most components (or quantities) of the item have arrived.
