SmartPlant Foundation® has multiple user roles, and these roles are mapped to equivalent roles in Intergraph Smart Cloud. The Configure SmartPlant Foundation Role Matrix dialog box displays the SmartPlant Foundation role and its corresponding Intergraph Smart Cloud portal role.

On the Configure SPF Role Matrix dialog box, you can view one or more sites and plants for each product group. The product roles for each plant are displayed in a grid. For example, if the estate has two plants Plant A, Plant B; two sites Site 1, Site 2; and two SmartPlant Foundation-based applications, SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) and Smart Data Validator (SDV), then the Configure SPF Role Matrix dialog box shows the following grids:

  • SPF - Site 1 - Plant A

  • SPF - Site 1 - Plant B

  • SDV - Site 2 - Plant A

  • SDV - Site 2 - Plant B

  1. Click the estate ID or estate name on the Estate Users page.

  2. Select the case number from the Case Number list.

  3. Click Load Files and then select Configure SPF Role Matrix from the list.

  4. In the first table on the Configure SPF Role Matrix page, you can add or create a SmartPlant Foundation role map for any plant.

    The first column lists all the role names from SPF where as the other columns are the roles defined in Smart Cloud.

    • To add an existing SmartPlant Foundation role, click Add SPF Role Map and select the role.

    • To create a new SmartPlant Foundation role, click Create SPF Role Map and type the role details in the grid.

    To add or create a SmartPlant Foundation role, click the required column (Admin, lead designer, designer, and so on), and select an option from the list.

  5. In the second table on the Configure SPF Role Matrix page, you can add or create a SPF Security Code against the Smart Cloud roles.

    The first column of the table lists all the SPF Security Code Names where as the other columns list the roles defined in Smart Cloud.

    • To add an existing SPF security code, click Add Security Code Map and select a security code name.

    • To create a new SPF security code, click Create Security Code Map and then enter a security code name.

  6. To map SmartPlant Foundation roles to the Intergraph Smart Cloud roles, select Mapped in the Smart Cloud role (column) against the SPF role (row).

    • Blank - Specifies that the SPF role and the Smart Cloud roles are not mapped.

    • Mapped - Specifies that the SPF role and the Smart Cloud roles are mapped.

    • Config Top - Specifies that SPF role has config top access against the Smart Cloud role.

  7. To map SPF Security Code Name the Intergraph Smart Cloud roles, select Mapped in the Smart Cloud role (column) against the SPF Security Code Name (row).

    • Mapped - Specifies that the SPF Security Code Name is mapped to the Smart Cloud role.

    • Restricted - Specifies that the SPF Security Code Name is restricted to the Smart Cloud role.

    • Proprietary - Specifies that the SPF Security Code Name is proprietary to the Smart Cloud role.

  8. Click Save.

  • To edit a SmartPlant Foundation role, double-click the role name in the SPF Role Name column on the Configure SPF Role Matrix page.

  • To delete a SmartPlant Foundation role, point to Menu on the Configure SPF Role Matrix page and click Delete Delete.
