  1. Select Start > All Programs > Standard Database for Intergraph Smart Reference Data 12.5 > SDB Setup Wizard > Run as administrator.

    SHARED Tip The Container Database will be selected by default as Database Architecture.

  2. Select one of the following from the Database Creation list:

    • Create an empty Oracle instance of Smart Reference Data and import SDB 12.5 dump file - Creates an entirely new database for SDB 12.5.

    • Import Standard Database 12.5 dump file into an existing oracle instance of Smart Reference Data - Imports the SDB 12.5 dump file into an existing empty SRD database. You need to have an existing empty Oracle instance of SRD.

    You must manually install any available Apex hotfixes.

    • For more information on creating an empty Oracle instance of SRD, see Smart Materials Database Creation.

    • You need to install a compatible Apex version on the empty database.

  3. Enter the Oracle CDB Name or Oracle PDB Name with:

    • CHARACTER SET AL16UTF16

    • NATIONAL CHARACTER SET UTF8

    Oracle CDB Name or Oracle PDB Name must not contain any special characters.

  4. Enter the passwords to be set for the database in the following boxes:

    • Oracle SYS, SYSTEM, M_SYS, SDB_SYS Password

    • Confirm Oracle SYS, Confirm SYSTEM, Confirm M_SYS, and Confirm SDB_SYS Password

  5. Select Oracle Home. The Oracle Home list box is auto-populated with the applicable Oracle homes for the setup version.

  6. Select Apex Installation Folder. This is mandatory for creating the SRD 10.4 database.

  7. Specify Oracle Data Files Path under which the database is to be created. The default folder location for the database files is 'D:\oradata\'.

  8. Specify Log Files Path under which the log files are created. The log files path must not contain any spaces in between.

  9. Select Finish to start the database creation.
