Select Add > Reference Dimension Command to display the Reference Dimension dialog. You can also select Place Reference Dimension
on the Place toolbar.

Select the required options. Optionally, type a name or other descriptive information in the Text box. For example, type VertSt,-001.

Select the component in the Graphics window to which the reference dimension applies and from which its coordinates are calculated.

Select OK in the Reference Dimension dialog to add the reference dimension to the pipeline.
To see the reference dimension, select Update Current View 
on the Tools toolbar.
