Intergraph Spoolgen is a high productivity isometric drawing system that creates spool sheets and isometric drawings from piping data files. Because it is a self-contained system, Spoolgen requires no other software to drive it apart from a 2D graphics system for the viewing and plotting of the output isometric drawings. Spoolgen uses the standard Piping Component File (PCF), Intermediate Data File (IDF), or the Piping Object Data (POD) file as its input. After you import the piping data file into the software, you can create customized spool sheet drawings and the output listings with minimal effort and operator intervention. For a given piping data file, you can selectively add additional fabricator information, add and change weld types, modify elbows to bends, and make an extensive range of other additions to the pipeline. When all modifications are complete, you can generate an output drawing file in AutoCAD .dxf format or MicroStation .dgn format. Output drawings are fully customizable so that they meet the layout style and content requirements of your company. A wide variety of output text files is also available, such as material lists, welding lists, and a spool information file. Any of these files can be printed out or passed to your own monitoring system.
Because original piping data files are always retained and archived, no data is ever lost. Furthermore, you can easily locate any errors that you make while editing the pipeline on the interactive screen so that they can be quickly corrected.
