Viewing the .avi Generating Loop Movie in the Enhanced Reports Module when SmartPlant Instrumentation is not Installed in the Default Folder - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help - Hexagon

If you install SmartPlant Instrumentation in a folder other than the default folder (C:\\Program Files (x86)\SmartPlant\Instrumentation), when generating an Enhanced Report the .avi animation displayed during the report generation does not work. To view the animation, you must do the following:

1. Open the Registry Editor.

2. In the Registry Editor go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem.

3. Right-click on NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation, and from the list box select Modify.

4. On the Edit DWORD page, in the Value data text box, type 0.

5. Click OK.

6. Restart your machine.
