Project Manager:

  1. Open the Display Set node in Project Manager.

    Display or Hide Project Manager

  2. Check the check box next to the display set(s) that you want to use. Uncheck the box to hide the display set.

Main Window:

  1. Select Edit > Select Filter > Display Sets.

Click Edit > Select Filter > Select Settings to set up color and highlighting options when you select a display set. See Configure Highlight and Color Options.

  2. Click on the display set you want to select. You can move the display set by drag-and-drop, using the keypad, or by using the Edit Position command. For more information, see Change a Display Set Position.

  • When display set settings are read from the database (for instance, when opening a model file or selecting the Tools > Refresh Data command), the display set ID number determines the order of precedence when conflicting display characteristics are assigned to the same elements. The lower the display set number, the higher the precedence. This means that an element that is a member of two different display sets appear with the characteristics of the lower numbered display set, assuming both sets have different display characteristics turned on.

  • Objects can be in more than one display set at a time. However, if your new display set does not seem to display properly, overlapping display sets may be the problem. The last action performed on the object by corresponding display set manipulations wins. For example, if Object 1 is in both DisplaySet1 and DisplaySet2, and you turn off DisplaySet1, then Object 1 is off, even though DisplaySet2 is still on. Once DisplaySet2 is toggled off and then on, Object1 will appear again.
