In order to use the Piping Specification Utility with SmartPlant 3D, you must install the Intergraph SmartPlant 3D SP3DPIDClient.
Before installing Intergraph SmartPlant 3D SP3DPIDClient, you must uninstall any
previous installation of SmartPlant 3D Piping Specification Remote Access Client.

Insert the SmartPlant P&ID DVD into the drive. If the installation does not start automatically, double-click setup.exe in the main folder.

On the Welcome page, click the Additional Software link.

On the Additional Software page, click Intergraph SmartPlant 3D SP3DPIDClient.

In the wizard that opens, on the Welcome page, click Next.

On the Software License Agreement page, select your country from the list.

Click Display to view and read the license agreement. You must have a PDF reader installed to be able to view the Software License Agreement.

Close the Software License Agreement window, and then click Yes to accept the license agreement.

On the Destination Folder page, accept the default installation path or if desired, specify a different path, and then click Next.

On the Ready to Install Intergraph SmartPlant 3D SP3DPIDClient page, click Install.

On completion of the installation, click Finish to close the installation wizard.
