The Options panel organizes the option groups that belong to each style group within the selected style category. The example shows the key features of the Options panel:

  • the Navigation bar (1)

  • the option groups in the selected style category (2)

  • the drawing style properties in the selected option group (3)

  • the Reset Options button (4)

  • The Navigation bar displays the path taken from the Home screen to reach the set of properties that display in the Options panel using the following format: drawing style (1), style category (2), and style group (3).

  • The name of the active style group displays as the title of the Options panel, such as the Display Format panel and the Drawing File panel, as shown below.

Drawing style properties

The Options panel organizes drawing style properties in groups. To view the drawing properties that belong to an options group, click Expand. To hide the properties, click Collapse .

The Options panel uses a gallery to display properties with multiple set values.

Some properties have a True/False value. Some properties require you to type a value, and other properties might require you to specify a path or filename. Setting and changing the values of drawing properties determines the appearance of the isometric drawing and the report file content produced during drawing generation. For example, changing the Show Coordinates at Reference Item setting between True and False determines whether coordinates for reference items and break-in points are shown on the generated drawing.

Resetting options

If you change the value of a property to something other than its default, the software displays Reset Options to the right of options group name.

Clicking Reset Options opens a window that displays each property within the options group that currently has a value other than its default. The following example shows that three properties in the Overview options group are set to something other than their default values: Drawing Frame, Output Format, and Display 1 of 1 on Single Sheet.

To return a property setting to its default value, click the next to the property name. For example, clicking the next to Output Format changes the setting from Smart DWG (DWG) (as shown in the example above) back to Isogen (the default value). When you re-open the Reset Options window, Output Format no longer displays in the list.

If all the properties within an options group are set to their default values, Reset Options does not display.
