The following changes have been made to the Piping task.

Hot Fix and Service Pack Updates

  • You can now connect two non-collinear pipe runs using Move. See Connecting pipe runs using Move. (P2 CP:342729)

  • Design supports are now included in generic spools when you set the spool option Include items attached to Pipe in spool to Pipe Attachment with Assembly. See Options Tab. (213674)

  • The Route Selection Commands have been expanded to allow the selection of features and runs when a part is selected, to select the features of a selected run, or to select the runs of a selected pipeline. (P2 CP:295789)

  • The <Select From P&ID> option has been added to the Run command on the Quick Route ribbon. (P2 CP:292926)

  • Added Import Default Flange Properties and Import Default Pipe Port Properties to the Reference 3D Tab (New Pipe Run Dialog)). (P2 CP:312692)

  • You can insert an end component (such as a blind flange, cap, or plug) in a new pipe run on an open end of an existing run. See Insert Component Command. (P2 CP:193942)

  • You can Insert a component in free space as the beginning of a pipe run. (P2 CP:59559)

  • Added information related to tap's permission group and approval state. See Insert Tap Command. (P2 CR:296038)

  • Added a new <Load More Runs> option to the Run box on the Route Pipe Ribbon, and the Pipe Run property on corresponding properties' dialog boxes. See Route Pipe Command. (P2 CP:319869)

  • You can now edit reinforcing pad thickness and width using the Pipe Component Properties dialog > Occurrence Tab. (P2 CR:304161)

  • Reporting Type property is now by default determined by specification. See Occurrence Tab. (P2 CP:314160)

  • Quick Route Command now honors user-defined default settings. (P2 CP:315911)

  • Added information about free leg behavior. See Pipe Leg in Moving Pipe Objects. (P1 CP:318434)

  • Added new information on routing purchase length pipes. See Route Pipe Command and Insert Component Command. (P2 CP:310831)

  • Added a new Piping Port Tab to the New Pipe Run Dialog, available only for Smart Interop Object piping. (P2 CP:327343)
