After you import a design file, it becomes part of the current project. You can then check out the file from the Workflow database, and modify it in the software.

  1. Click Project > Check Out.

The Select POD Files to Check Out dialog box displays.

  2. Select the check box for each file to check out of the Workflow database. Use the CTRL and SHIFT keys to select multiple files.

  3. Click OK.

The software checks out the file and displays it in the Pipeline Explorer.

  • Checking out a file from the Workflow database sets its status to In Process.

  • Files that have been checked out, modified, and then checked in to the Workflow database do not display in the Select POD Files to Check Out dialog box. The software assumes that after a file is checked in to the Workflow database it is complete and does not require any additional work. To display all files in the Worklflow database, including those previously checked out, select Include files that have already been checked out

  • Use Select all and De-select all in the Select POD Files to Check Out dialog box to select or clear the check boxes for all of the files listed in the dialog box.

  • The software records any changes that you make to the pipeline in a Replay file. When you check in the pipeline, the software stores the Replay file. If you import a new version of the pipeline, the software applies the modifications stored in the Replay file to the pipeline after it is imported.
