JetStream is a high-performance, streaming data server for HDS projects. It imports data from Cyclone software and sends high-performance data to improve productivity for CloudWorx. JetStream’s high-speed data server allows instantaneous loading of point cloud data sets of any size. Full-density point cloud rendering is achieved in real time for panning, zooming, rotating, orbiting, and other interactions. JetStream Project Vault is an archive of project data. JetStream Project Vault provides a centralized project-sharing platform that simplifies multi-project work by streamlining project data management.

Before you load the JetStream projects into Smart 3D, you must convert the Cyclone based point cloud data to JetStream projects using Leica Cyclone. For more information on how to convert the Cyclone data to JetStream projects, refer the delivered Leica Cyclone documentation. The minimum versions needed to convert the Cyclone data to JetStream projects using Leica Cyclone software is Cyclone 9.1.4 and JetStream 1.2.

You must also convert the Cyclone based point cloud data to JetStream projects and store them into JetStream ProjectVault.

  1. Click Database > New > Point Cloud Model Reference to open the Point Cloud Model Reference dialog box.

  2. Select LeicaGeosystem Inc., and then click Register to open the Point Cloud Properties dialog box.

  3. Select JetStream as the model type from the Point Cloud drop-down list.

  4. Specify a jetstream server name in the Server Name box to establish the connection for the point cloud model type. This is applicable for JetStream models only.

  5. Click Browse in the Point Cloud Source section to browse the point cloud projects on the specified JetStream server.

  6. Select the JetStream model in the Open JetStream Enterprise Project dialog, and then click OK to load the selected project into the Point Source Details section of Point Cloud Properties dialog.

In the Open JetStream Enterprise Project dialog, the Coordinates Systems in Point Source list enables you to use the point cloud coordinates systems available on the project. The software reflects the selected coordinate system values in the point cloud model transformation fields on the Point Cloud Properties dialog. The Coordinate Systems in Viewport, Distance Units, and Number of units per meter options are in disabled mode. Hence you cannot use these options while referencing the point cloud models.

  7. Specify the Reference Point and Point Cloud Model Transformation values in the respective boxes provided.

  8. Click OK.

You cannot append any new point cloud source as a reference when the JetStream point cloud data is already in the workspace.
