MobileScan now allows you to scan materials using bluetooth signals. This requires bluetooth beacons attached to materials. Any beacon near the mobile device, with bluetooth turned-on, would be captured by MobileScan application. MobileScan supports Eddystone format to detect beacons that emit bluetooth signals.
Bluetooth beacons and Eddystone format
Eddystone is an open beacon format developed by Google and can be detected by both Android and iOS devices. MobileScan supports Eddystone-UID type. You must set up your beacons with Eddystone-UID format.
Eddystone-UID - A unique, static ID with a 10-byte Namespace component and a 6-byte Instance component.
RFID
MobileScan application displays both active and passive RFIDs.
Active RFID - uses the RFID number and the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) active signal strength.
Passive RFID - uses only the RFID number.

For customers encoding the RFID, MobileScan application decodes the hexadecimal value and displays the normal readable text.
