After placing an assembly on a BOM position, you can explode that assembly. The exploded assembly items are derived from the ident structure. The picture below shows an example of an assembly placed on a BOM position.

Run the BOM procedure VER_BOM_COPY to explode the assemblies. Select the node on the tree, right-click to open the shortcut menu, and select BOM Procedures/Macro > Procedure > VER_BOM_COPY.

A dialog box opens where you can specify the procedure runtime options. On the Node Selection Options tab, select the Best Quantity option in the Issue Status Selection area.

Then go to the Procedure Parameters tab. Select a pre-defined Where condition from the LOV in the Parameter Value field for the VER_WHERE parameter. All Where conditions defined on A.60.06 for the B.20.03 module are available for selection.

For more information, see Where Conditions.

Make sure the mv_where view is created and is valid for the Where condition.

Select a list status from the LOV in the Parameter Value field for the VER_LSTSTA parameter.

Click the Continue button to run the procedure. A box displays the result.

Click the Show Log button to open a window where the log messages from the procedure execution are displayed.

For each processed position, a logfile is created in the directory specified with DBA setting LOG_FILE_DEST. The logfiles are named VER_xxxxx.log (xxxxx stands for a sequential number).

Close this window and check the BOM positions.

The + sign beside the position number indicates that sub positions exist for this position. In the Sub Position area at the bottom of the screen, the assembly child items are displayed.
