The purpose of the list view is to define the multi position view (MPV) for the B.20.01 Edit BOM screen (Window 3) and the B.20.03 Adv. Maintain BOM screen. Use the A.20.06.11 Attribute Security screen in the Administration module to define the list views.

To create a new list view in the first (List Views) block, enter the name into the View Name field and description into the Short Desc and Description fields. After saving this new view, select the required attributes from the LOV in the Attr Name field in the second (View Attributes) block.

All attributes to be used in the BOM module as node or position attributes must be defined on A.50.01 Attributes and must be assigned to a list view on A.20.06.11.

Two kinds of attributes are available.

  1. Attributes that define fields of the Single Position View (displayed in the upper block of B.20.01 Window 4, and on the Single Position View of B.20.03) to be displayed on B.20.01 Window 3, or on the Multi Position View of B.20.03. These attributes are hard-coded in Smart Materials and directly related to the BOM position. The picture below shows the mentioned fields on the Single Position View, B.20.01 Window 4.

The hard-coded attributes are listed below.

    • SPEC_CODE

    • CG_GROUP_CODE

    • PART_CODE

    • COMMODITY_CODE

    • IDENT_CODE

    • LINK_LN_CODE

    • CONTROL_STATUS

    • REVISION_ID1

    • REVISION_ID2

    • OBJECT_CODE

    • STATUS

    • LST_CODE

    • LST_DATE

    • LST_USER

    • CREATED_BY

    • REQUISITION_IND

    • LOAD_IND (Prompt is Reload)

    • TAG_NUMBER

    • RESV_QTY

    • ISSUE_QTY

  2. Variable, user-definable attributes. These attributes can be used as WBS node type attributes or BOM position attributes. Node type attributes can be assigned to the node types on the B.10.03 Node Types and Settings screen, and position attributes can be assigned to disciplines on the B.10.04 Position Attributes screen. The variable attributes are displayed in the second (Position Values) block on B.20.01 Window 4, Single Position View. The variable attributes should have an order sequence assigned between 1 and 20 on B.10.06 BOM Views or on B.10.09 Discipline BOM Views, because a maximum of 20 variable attributes can be displayed on the multi position screen.
