You must set up the network drives and shares to be used for uploading and linking documents. You can define the destination paths for servers and shares on your network using File Destinations page.

  1. Select File Destinations from File Setup page.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Type the destination name in the Destination Code cell.

  4. Select the Link or Upload destination type from the Type list.

  5. Enter the destination path in the Destination Path cell.

    • For shared paths, replace the string %20 with a blank space. For example, instead of \\share.company.com\project\Charts%20and%20Backlog\, you must enter \\share.company.com\project\Charts and Backlog\

    • You must also remove the string http:.

  6. Select Yes from the Sub Directory list to make the subdirectories in the destination available.

  7. Select the domain user from the Domain User list.

    • Domain user information is required for destination type upload only.

    • To upload a document, the domain user must have access (read/write) rights for the file destination.

    • The domain user also requires the rights for accessing the network directories and shares.

    • You must have a password defined for the domain user in the Define users page for authentication.
