Smart Materials/Smart Reference Data Version
2020 (10.0)

A valid license is needed to gain access to the system. You can use the License page to view and maintain the license keys installed in your database. Smart Materials now uses Intergraph Smart Licensing (ISL).

The concept of session based license check, Smart Licensing, is founded on requesting from and returning seats to a license pool as users work with the application. The license pool is maintained by SPLM or ISL. For more information, see the Intergraph Smart Materials/Reference Data License Handling.

License Service - Specifies the the URL of the license service. The URL contains the application server name (and port optionally) plus the virtual path the license service is listening on.

Keystores - Specifies the ISL project name or the SPLM server names seperated by commas.

For ISL, Keystores specifies the name of a single ISL project and points to an ordered list of accessible keystores.

For SPLM, Keystores specifies a comma-separated list of SPLM servers, that can be contacted to get licenses. Each list item consists of the machine name and its IP separated by a blank. If IP address is specified, the IP address replaces the machine name, hence the IP appears twice separated by blank. Keystores cell remains empty if the customer is not using customer hosted licensing.

Based on the requirements and the customer hosted licensing implementation, you can assign different keystores for different users. You must use the Keystores in the user management to assign different keystores for different users.

User Keystores - Specifies the user dependent keystore information. User Keystores is available in the Users page. If available, the User value overrides the system-wide value.

For ISL, the User Keystores cell specifies the name of a single ISL project and points to an ordered list of accessible keystores.

Log Message Level - Specifies the system log file message levels for license/logon tasks. The higher the number (0-99), the more messages are put in the table that logs the license related actions. 0 indicates that only the most important messages are added to the log. If the field is empty, no log entries are being produced.

Log Message Level is available in the Users page as well and overrides the Log Message Level in the License page. If the user dependent value is higher than the value here, the higher value takes precedence.

User Log Message Level - Specifies the user related message levels. You can set the user log message levels in the Users page as well. User Log Message Level in the Users page takes precedence over User Log Message Level in the License page.

Log Message Level Job - Specifies the log file message level for the license cleanup-job. The higher the number (0-99), the more messages are put in the table that logs the license related actions. 0 means, that only most important messages are added to the log. If the field is empty, no log entries are being produced.

Read Parameters - Fetches the parameter values from the database.

Save Parameters - Saves the changed parameter values to the database.
