The project calendar is used in Smart Materials for the purposes listed below:

a) R.30.01 Maintain Requisitions, to check if the entered ROS date on the requisition line items is a working day.

b) Milestone module P.60. All milestone labels with a sequence less than or equal to 1000 will be calculated on the basis of the project calendar.

c) P.30.11 Inquiries, to calculate the Bid Due Date of the inquiry based on the setting of project default ZP_CALC_BD and considering the project calendar. If a positive value is assigned to ZP_CALC_BD, the bid due date is calculated as the actual date plus the number of days given by the project default. If the project calendar does not cover the date such calculated, the system date plus 14 days is taken as the value for this field.

Use the A.20.14 Project Calendar Setup screen to set up the project calendar, and to define and maintain the properties of the project calendar.

The first (Calendar Options) block is used to define the basic setup details like start date, end date, and the weekend definition. The button calculates the calendar of the login project. The calendar status, install date, and the last recalculated date will be displayed.

The second (Fixed Holidays) block can be used to define fixed holidays that are non-working days every year. The date format is DD-MON. You are able to define either single days or ranges of days. By clicking the button, you can copy the predefined entries from the A.10.31 Default Fixed Holidays screen. For more information, see Default Fixed Holidays.

In the third (Other Non-Working Days) block, you define variable non-working days by specifying a full date including the year (date format is DD-MON-YYYY). You can define either single days or ranges of days.

Modifications made in the second or third block after calculation of the calendar will mark the calendar setup as being modified so that you need to recalculate the calendar.

On the A.20.15 Project Calendar screen, you can view the project calendar as it has been specified and calculated on the A.20.14 screen.
