Use the A.30.06 Menu Settings screen to maintain the assignment of parameters (project defaults), DBA settings, privileges, CIPs, reports, and date fields to the menu items (screens and reports.

The first (Parameters) tab shows parameters such as project defaults and report parameters assigned to the selected menu item. The project defaults assigned to a particular screen are displayed on the Project Defaults tab of the A.60.63 Valid Settings screen, called from this particular screen.

Menu items of menu type REPORT require report parameters. The standard parameters for reports are Destype, Desname, and Desformat. Because A.60.71 Start Reports requires default values for report parameters, you cannot insert a report parameter without adding a value in the Default Value field. The Change allowed check box can be used to restrict the user’s ability to change the content of the Value field on the A.60.71 Start Reports screen. If the Change allowed check box is not selected, the user cannot change the content of the Default Value field defined on A.30.06 and appearing in the corresponding parameter Value field on A.60.71 Start Reports when starting the report.

The second (DBA Settings) tab shows the DBA settings that are defined and configured on the A.60.04 DBA Settings screen, and assigned to the selected menu item. The DBA settings assigned to a particular screen are displayed on the DBA Settings tab of the A.60.63 Valid Settings screen, called from this particular screen.

The third (Privileges) tab shows the privileges that are defined on the A.10.18 Privileges screen, and assigned to the selected menu item. The privileges assigned to a particular screen are displayed on the Privileges tab of the A.60.63 Valid Settings screen, called from this particular screen.

The fourth (CIPs) tab shows the CIPs (Customer Installed Procedures) assigned to the selected menu item. The CIPs assigned to a particular screen are displayed on the CIPs tab of the A.60.63 Valid Settings screen, called from this particular screen.

The fifth (Menu Reports) tab shows the reports assigned to the selected menu item (screen).

If at least one record is assigned to a screen, in this screen the Reports button is available in the toolbar at the top of the screen. If you click this button and only one report is assigned to the screen, A.60.71 Start Reports opens with the predefined report. If more than one report is assigned to the screen, the A.30.06.01 Attached Menu Reports screen opens, showing all assigned reports. The list of available reports can be restricted by the user’s role.

You can click the button to call the associated report directly from this screen. The A.60.71 Start Reports screen opens with the selected document (for example, requisition, agreement, inquiry) pre-assigned to the appropriate report parameter. If you click the button the software prints the report with the data of the selected document.

The last (Date Fields) tab shows the date fields assigned to the selected menu item (screen).

These assigned date fields represent an exclusion list for the selected menu item (screen).

Normally, a date value entered into a date field is validated against the project date range defined by the settings of the project defaults ZX_DAT_MIN and ZX_DAT_MAX. Only dates within this project date range are accepted. However, if the date field has been entered here, that check is skipped for this field, thus allowing users to enter date values outside the project date range.
