Click the Grid View Command on the ribbon.

In the tree view, expand Interfaces and Categories > Interfaces.

In the tree view, select the interface to which to add the property.

Click the Insert Row Command .

In the Name column, type a name for the property.

In the User Name column, type the property name to display in the property dialogs. This is the name the software user will see.

In the Type column, specify the type of property.

In the Units Type column, type the units system.

In the Primary Units column, type the units system.

In the Select List Name column, specify the select list, if applicable.

In the ProgID column, type the ProgID to validate the property.

In the Select List Table Namespace column, specify the table namespace to which the select list belongs.

In the ProgID column, type the ProgID to validate the property.

In the On Property Page column, select whether the property that you are adding should appear in the property dialog boxes.

In the Is Value Required column, select whether or not the property is a required property.

In the Read-Only column, specify whether or not the software user can edit this property.

In the Description column, type a short description of the property for your use.

Click the Save Command to save your new property.

Use TAB, SHIFT+TAB, and the arrow keys to move between cells in the grid view.

If you select another row before entering all the required data, the software displays a message about the missing data.
