Click Tools > Import/Export Displacements from File.
The Import/Export Displacements dialog box displays.

Type the path and name of the displacement file in the Import Displacements From a File box, or click ... to browse to the file.
The Open dialog box displays.
Two file formats can be used to create a displacement file:

Fixed format with a .disp file extension.

Commas Separated Value format with a .csv file extension.
By default, displacement files display in comma separated values format(.csv).
You can also choose displacement files with the fixed format (.disp) by clicking Displacement Import File (*.dsp) from the Files of type list.

Select the displacement file.

Click Open.

Click Import.
During the import process, if an erroneous condition is detected for a displacement node, a warning message displays. A summary report is generated after all displacement data is processed.

After reviewing warning messages and a summary report, click Done.
The first two figures show displacement files Notepad for disp and csv formats. The third and fourth figures show displacement files in Microsoft Excel.

If a CAESAR II job has no displacements the displacement export operation creates a displacement template file.
